- ミスフォールディング病の検査法の開発
- ミスフォールディング病の病態解析
- 新型アミロイドーシスの同定
ミスフォールディング病は、アルツハイマー病やパーキンソン病に代表されるように、蛋白質の構造変化に伴って異常蛋白質が蓄積し、引き起こされる疾患群の総称である。我々は、ミスフォールディング病、特にアミロイドーシスを対象疾患とし、検査法の開発や病態解析を行っている。質量分析技術や遺伝子解析技術などの様々な解析手法を活用し、臨床の教室と共同で、トランスレーショナルリサーチを展開している。新たな疾患概念の提唱に向け、新型アミロイドーシスの同定研究にも盛んに取り組んでおり、オリジナリティーの高い研究成果を世界に発信するために日々活動している。

We are working on the development of diagnostic methods and analyses of pathological mechanism for misfolding diseases, particularly amyloidosis. Based on proteomic and genetic approach, we are conducting translational research in collaboration with clinical departments. One of our research goals is to propose new disease concepts through the identification of novel types of amyloidosis.
